America Only
Within the cave of conservatism there is a group who not only believe that America should be the first priority, but should be the only priority.
Most but not all conservatives are Christian, so this campaign seems to conflict with the teachings of Jesus.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20 (emphasis added)
I'm not an expert in geography, but I know the United States is not the only nation. There are at least 20 nations if the G20 has taught me anything. From which of those nations does Jesus not want disciples? Based on basic reading skills it would seem that Jesus would want disciples from all off the those nations.
I may be cherry picking a Bible verse to prove a point. However, there is another verse where Jesus seems concerned with at least two nations.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 (emphasis added)
Although the United States is the beginning for conservatives, it is not the end of the earth. It's worth noting that earth is lower case. It implies all of the known physical land.
As conservatives burrow themselves further into their caves, those outside know there is more to the world than one nation. We know that when someone goes to the ends of the earth, they will travel through many nations with all the people Jesus instructs his followers to make disciples.
